 Senator Saland has
worked tirelessly on our behalf to ensure that our region
remains one of the greatest areas in the state to
live, work and raise a family.
The Hudson Valley boasts many qualities that attract people
to the region, whether as a weekend tourist or life long
resident. Senator Saland has fought hard throughout his
career to see that people can take advantage of the region's
natural beauty and history. Senator Saland created the
Hudson Valley Greenway which enables thirteen area
counties to preserve, enhance and develop the world-renowned
scenic, natural, historic, cultural and recreational
resources of the Hudson River Valley.
Senator Saland has secured approximately $5,868,113 in
funds for local Arts, Historic Preservation and Parks.
He works with local communities and preservation groups to
see that people have access to our historic sites, trails
and waterfront. Senator Saland continues to work on our
behalf in Albany allowing us to enjoy the natural treasures
that surround us in Dutchess and Columbia Counties.
