Municipalities have
the constant challenge of keeping up with the maintenance of
local roads and bridges, municipal buildings and area parks.
Assisting our towns, villages and cities with these needs,
Senator Saland has secured over $21,961,106 in funding
for local governments and the local infrastructure. The
funds have been utilized for projects as varied as paving
roads, providing handicap accessibility to public areas,
building pedestrian walkways and providing improvements to
rail stations.
Each project that is funded through the grants secured by
Senator Saland is a project the municipal board will not
have turn to its local tax base to support. Senator Saland
understands the demands of keeping up with the needs of each
municipality and is working to keep your local property
taxes down.
